Our volunteers are hear to assist you in gaining visibility to the inter workings of the family court system.  They will talk to you about the pitfalls of getting involved in a high conflict/highly contested divorce.

Please don't go to court to only find out that you have gotten yourself in a no win debacle.  Most of our volunteers are people that have been in your shoes and wished they had someone to talk to before they started down this path. 

We volunteer our time because we care about our families/your family.  We wish to save you the grief... We wish to save you from loosing everything you have because you just wanted a win... We wish to save you from listening to an attorney that may be only out for the money...

If nothing else... We wish to prepare you for the turbulent journey you are about to embark on.

We care...

• Unless there's abuse you should aim for 50/50 custody split.  This is what's best for your children. 
• Unless there's abuse (real abuse)... Don't file a restraining order.
• Unless there's abuse (real abuse)... Don't attempt to keep the other parent from your children's life.  If you do...You are hurting your children.
• Unless there's domestic violence with police reports to back it up... Don't file frivolous restraining orders.
• If you think mediation is expensive... Wait to see the costs of a divorce in court.  (How about middle class families spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a divorce.  The money will go fast.  Jr's college fund evaporates.  Above all the children will suffer.  However attorneys love you.)
